In 1969, writer/animator Marv Newland created the extremely short film, Bambi Meets Godzilla. The world of independent filmmaking would never be the same. Marv continues making animated shorts with the NFB and also with his company, International Rocketship Limited. His work includes the films: ANIJAM (1984), BLACK HULA (1988), PINK KOMKOMMER (1991), POSTALOLIO (2008) and CMYK (2011). In 1995, Marv won the Annecy Animation Festival Grand Prix for the 30-minute short, Gary Larson's TALES FROM THE FAR SIDE.
